Hi, I'm Tricia and I have been teaching and competing in pole sport, art and dance for 12 years. In that time, I have coached many athletes, including kids as young as 5. 

Kids are naturals at pole. After all, almost every playground has a "firefighter"pole on it, and kids natural curiosity makes kids gravitate to it. Since opening my studio in 2013, I have resigned myself to privately coaching some very dedicated young athletes from enthusiast, to national champion to world stage competitor through the US Pole Sport organization.  This organization is the governing body trying to get pole sport to become an Olympic sport.   

As you can imagine, it is an uphill battle given the stigma pole "dance" can have in the United States. After traveling to Europe last week,  and witnessing how other countries are training their youth in the art and sport of pole, I have decided to open our first ever, youth pole sport class. 

I know that some of you might be hesitant, but I can assure you:

• It will be approached the same as all our other youth circus programs. 
• Safety is paramount. We have 6 landing mats made to go around the pole.
• Attire will be similar to volleyball or cheer:  modest but fitted short and a sport top with tank top covering the middle when in public. 
• Socks or bare feet.
